Statement of Faith

I

We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of both the Old and New Testament Scriptures in their entirety, without error in all that they affirm and the only infallible rule for our faith and practice. (2 Tim. 3:15-17, l Thes. 2:13, 2 Pet. 1:21).

II

We believe our God is a Trinity in unity, manifested in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is infinitely perfect, being in His three persons co-existent, co-equal, and co-eternal. The Son was begotten of the Father, accepting earthly limitations, true God and true man; conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He gave His life upon the Cross, the Just for the unjust as a substitute sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on High as our great High Priest, and He will return again to establish His Kingdom of righteousness and justice. The Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, Executive of the Godhead on earth, the Comforter sent by the Lord Jesus Christ to indwell, to guide, and to teach the believer, and to convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.

III

We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in the Virgin Birth, Sinless Life, Miraculous Ministry, Substitutionary Atoning Death, Bodily Resurrection, Triumphant Ascension and Abiding Intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ and in His personal, visible, bodily return in power and glory as the blessed hope of all believers (Isa. 7:14; Matt. 1:23; Heb. 7:26; 1 Pet. 2:22; Acts 2:22, 10:38; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 9:12; Luke 24:39; 1 Cor. 15:4; Acts 1:9; Eph. 4:8-10; Rom. 8:34; Heb. 7:25; 1 Cor. 15:22-24, 51-57; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 20:1-6).

IV

We believe that regeneration (the Born Again/New Birth) by the Holy Ghost for the salvation of lost and sinful mankind, through personal faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, is absolutely essential.

V

We believe in holiness of life and conduct in obedience to the command of God, without which no man can see the Lord, through sanctification as a definite, yet progressive, work of grace. (1 Pet. 1:14-16; Heb. 12:14; 1 Thess. 5:23; 1 John 2:6).

VI

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, normally received subsequent to the Born Again/New Birth, with speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit gives the utterance, as the initial physical sign and evidence for most believers. However, we do acknowledge that some believers can receive this baptism and may not immediately display this initial evidence until a later time.

VIII

We believe in water baptism of repentance by immersion for believers only, which is a direct commandment of our Lord, in the Name of the Father, and of the Son (the Lord Jesus Christ), and of the Holy Spirit.

IX

We believe that the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper is a commandment of our Savior; and being a memorial to His death and resurrection, is strictly limited to Christian believers (1 Corinthians 11:27. The time and frequency of its observance is left to the discretion of each congregation (1 Corinthians 11:26).

X

We believe that Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16).

XI

We believe in the personal, physical, and future return of Jesus Christ to the earth, to rule in righteousness and to inaugurate the New Heavens and New Earth. (Zech 14:1-9; Matt 24:30-31; 25:31-46; Acts 1:9-11; 2Thess 1:7-10; Rev 1:7; 19:11-21; Ch 20-21)

XII

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the everlasting conscious bliss of all who truly believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and the everlasting conscious punishment of all whose names are not written in the Book of Life (Dan. 12:2-3; John 5:28-29, 1 Cor. 15:22-24; Matt. 25:46; 2 Thess. 1:9; Rev. 20:10-15).
